NOWA joins “Women Together in Fisheries” – Building Bridges Between Aquaculture and Fisheries
We are thrilled to announce that NOWA – Network of Women in Aquaculture will participate in the “Women Together in Fisheries” retreat organized by WWF Adria and the WWF Mediterranean Marine Initiative, taking place in Split, Croatia on April 7–8, 2025.
This two-day event brings together women working in the fisheries sector across the Mediterranean, with the aim of sharing experiences, building networks, and amplifying women’s voices in ocean-based sectors.
It includes roundtables, panel discussions, documentary screenings, and a beautiful photo exhibition at Split’s historic fish market.
NOWA will be represented by our General Secretary, Marilou Suc, who will speak on the “Women’s Initiatives and Networks” panel.
She will share our journey in creating NOWA, lessons learned in building a transnational community of women in aquaculture, and explore synergies between aquaculture and fisheries through the lens of inclusion, leadership, and…
